Rutherford Church of Christ
Ministries
The church that is the body of Christ focuses on doing the work of Christ — seeking and saving the lost, and serving our neighbors in love.
Missions
The Lord has blessed this congregation with a robust overseas mission effort. We support gospel work in Honduras and India joining with brethren who are taking the good news to people we may never meet this side of heaven.
Our mission is the same as Jesus’ — to seek and to save the lost. We are thankful for every open door, and we pray that the Word of the Lord would run swiftly and be glorified.
Evangelism
While we continue to support work abroad, we are focusing more on local evangelism here in Rutherford County. The people around us need the same gospel we love, and we want our neighbors to know the peace and joy in Christ that we share.
We invite you to study the Bible with us, to worship with us, and to serve with us. If you have questions about the faith, or if you simply want a place to belong, you are welcome. Come as you are, and let us walk together in the Word. Heaven awaits!
Benevolence
Love for Christ shows itself in care for people. Alongside the gospel, we work to meet practical needs in our community.
Our backpack program is designed to help feed hungry school aged children in our county. Members also construct hundreds of teddy bears so that first responders may use them to comfort small children in times of distress.
We also seek to serve those who are homeless and downtrodden.
These simple works remind us that no one is too small to matter to the Lord — and that His church is here to help.
